Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz AM-PM Smoothing Treatment

For the past 3 weeks I've been trying the Bamboo Smooth Anti-Frizz AM-PM Smoothing Treatment by Alterna Haircare. I was already a big fan of the Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil which I've been using since 2012. So, when I received their new Bamboo Smooth products I was super exited to give them a try. Of course they didn't disappoint me. It's a 2 step treatment that consists in an Overnight treatment and a Blowout Balm that claims to be 72 hours of frizz-free.

The first step is the PM Overnight Smoothing Treatment, you are supposed to use this one before going to bed, being pillow safe you don’t have to worry about having a mess on your bed the next morning. This balm starts this 2 steps process, it protects & strengthens while smoothing and gives you humidity resistance. This means, you wake up to a smoother, softer hair, and because it has an anti-frizz system, it helps your blowouts to last longer. Bye bye, frizzy hair!!

The second step is the AM Daytime Smoothing Blowout Balm, you are supposed to use this one after washing your hair. This balm completes the smoothing process. Because it is activated by heat, you apply it before blowing out your hair, and it has the same function, which is to give you humidity resistance so you can say goodbye to the frizzy hair, but it also strengthens your hair. This blowout balm also has heat protection so your hair is protected while blow-drying or using styling tools.

 

This is perfect if you have thick, frizzy hair because it's aim to that. Now, I don't have thick hair and my hair I couldn’t say it is frizzy, of course, that didn’t stop me. The thing is, we are in summer and my hair does tend to get frizzier, because of the humidity and the damage it gets cause of the sun, the pool and the beach. Blowouts never last me more than a day in summer and I'm all about taking good care of my hair. I'll have to try it in the cooler month and see how it works.

But this have been working on me, it softens and smoothes my hair, and definitely helps with humidity, but my favorite part is that silky feeling my hair gets, I don't need to have a super blowout using brushes to get really straight hair, just by blow-drying and using my fingers through my hair, I get a nice natural result and my hair looks super healthy with natural shine.

Another thing I love about these products is that they are free of parabens & synthetic color, and the scent of these is out of this world, so fresh!!!
