Healthy Food Guide #1 New York


 
A healthy food guide is something I've been wanting to do since I had the idea of starting a blog, having IBS I have to care about what I eat, but that doesn’t mean I can't eat some delicious meals, when I travel I always ask for recommendations to my friends or look up on yelp some good places to eat, but I also like to explore and find places by myself with great menus that I can later recommend to people, and even if is a healthy food guide it doesn’t mean that someone who is not interest on healthy eating will not enjoy this places too. So my first healthy food guide is located in New York, oh I love this city so much here you can find anything you want, (literally), but I'll keep it short to 3 restaurants per guide.


1 Quantum Leap



Located in Greenwich Village’s, this vegetarian restaurant has plenty of options for you, they offer a variety of lunch and dinner specials that will  leave you satisfied and happy, their menu is also pretty affordable for the incredibly delicious food they serve. I went for the Quinoa & black beans burger and let me tell you it was SO good, the patty was baked but it had so much flavor, the burgers come with French fries that you can change for sweet potato fries for an extra dollar (that's what I did of course) again, so yummy! You also have the option of Gluten free buns what is great! The place is super cozy, so after a great day walking on Manhattan you can just relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

2 Totto Ramen


Well, this is one of my fave, I've come here so many times and in Autumn and Winter is a must, you have again plenty of options and you can go spicy or regular! My fave is the vegetarian ramen it has so much flavor, but the Chicken Paitan is also really good! The staff is incredibly courteous I love how they welcome you,
the atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing, everyone is always happy!

There are 2 places I want to share on this post that are perfect for when you are on the go.

Pret a Manger:

This one is my favorite, there are so many around NYC,  like Starbucks you can find one almost on every corner, it's an organic coffee that sells fresh natural food, from natural juices to delicious salads, they also sell sandwiches, soups and much more. It's a good one for when you are in a rush but still want to eat healthy.

Juice Press:
I don't think I have to explain this one, but is a favorite for when I want to grab something on the go but I still want to feel fulfilled and they are all around NYC too, just look for the nearest one to you.
