The No Makeup, Makeup Look
It happens that
sometimes we are not in the mood for a super elaborated makeup, but we don't
want to leave the house with a naked face. For those times I came up with this
easy routine that no only takes no time, but also gives you a beautiful natural
look; the perfect "I woke up like this" look. Of course there is
nothing wrong with going out bare face, embrace your natural beauty, but this
look is for those moments when you have a busy day, you have some meetings, you
are going out with friends, and you do want to wear makeup but still look
natural.
For the base I
picked the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, with this one you can get
the finish you prefer. But since this is a natural look, I'm going to apply a
thin layer all over my skin, starting with my T-zone and what is left on the
brush on the rest of my face. I've been enjoying this foundation recently
because in summer we tend to get more oily, and this foundation helps control
the oils on your skin giving you a matte-velvety finish that still looks pretty
natural. It's also super long lasting which means, I don’t have to worry about
my makeup not during all the day.
For concealer I
picked the YSL Touche Eclat, this is a really light weight concealer that helps
brighten up your face. I apply it under my eyes and also in those places I like
to highlight, like my cheekbones, forehead, the bridge of my nose and I bit on
my chin. Because we are using just 4 products I like to take advantage and give
them more than one use. Again, this concealer is super light, so if you feel
like you need a heavier concealer under your eyes, then go for it!
To finish up this
natural look we have to, OF COURSE, apply mascara and do the brows, because it doesn’t matter if
you are going heavy or natural with your makeup, these have to be done. My favorite
mascara at the moment is the Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara. If you are looking
for volume and length, this one is for you. This formula isn't waterproof but I
find that it actually holds the curl, which is great and it is not a pain in
the ass to remove. As for brows what I look for is to make them stay in place that's why I love using the Maybelline Brow Drama, which is exactly that, a mascara for your brows, it gives a bit of color for a fuller appearance while setting them on place.
Here you have it, my
ultimate no makeup , makeup. It takes no time, still you end up looking like
the natural beauty you are!
