Chia Pudding

 

I am sure this is no new for you, but I still wanted to write this post for those of you who haven't tried it yet. Chia pudding is a perfect breakfast, actually amazing for when you need a to-go breakfast, you can also have it as a mid-morning snack or as a healthy dessert. It is so versatile, you can add different flavors and toppings, this way you don't get bored, there's hundreds ways to make it.

Another thing I love is the benefits you get from the chia seeds, which are packed with protein, fiber, magnesium, calcium, potassium, they are also a good source of omega 3 and antioxidants, just to name some, they give you the energy you need to start your day and to maintain it during the day.

Now the best part is how easy it is to make, you can make it the day before or make a batch for the week ahead and keep it in the fridge and add whatever you want on it. I like to use fresh fruits and if I'm craving something sweet I'll add some chocolate chips on top.

You will need.

1 cup of any milk you like or can consume

1/4 cup chia seeds

1. In jar or glass container add your milk and chia and mix with a spoon. (At this moment you could add any flavor you want, vanilla, cacao, and you can add any sweetener too. This time I'll keep mine plain.) Close with the lid and put in the fridge.
2. 20 minutes later take the jar or container and shake it to mix a bit more.
3. Leave in the fridge until ready to eat. (Leave a minimum of 4 hours so you can have that gelatin consistency)
